Instructions for singing along:
This canon comes from a pedagogical book, and is presented here in a way which allows you to learn the piece with the ensemble. It will be sung twice; first, Ivo sings each phrase alone and then invites the ensemble to repeat it after him. Then, the whole canon is sung in two parts, and you can sing in whichever octave is most comfortable for you. We hope you enjoy reading from the 16th century notation!

Cantata Domino canticum novum:
laus eius in ecclesia sanctorum.
Laetetur Israel in eo, qui fecit eum:
et filiae Sion exultent in Rege suo.

Sing unto the Lord a new song,
and his praise in the congregation of saints.
Let Israel rejoice in him that made him:
let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
